Ivan Solis, Columbus JAG student, has been working in Ms. Murry’s 3rd grade class. Ms. Murry had the idea to develop a website that her students and their families could access from home. This site would contain information about activities going on in the classroom with current assignments, photos, and links to sites for additional practice.
Ivan found the challenge exciting. After time researching possibilities, they found a template from the AEA and came up with a site they felt would showcase the class.
In the photo below, Ivan and Ms. Murry are presenting the site and the information they gained developing it to Superintendent Rich Bridenstine.
The administrators are very interested in the possibilities of this project linking families to the school website.
Ivan works with the 3rd graders to keep the site updated. We are now planning a 4th Grade Classroom site partnering another JAG student.
